  • EHiN 2022 conference

    • On 9 November, Cato Heimvik will be a speaker at the EHiN 2022 conference, where he will mention the REBECCA project.

      He will give a presentation on technology in patient rooms / smart patient rooms in the hospital of the future.

      EHiN, “e-health in Norway”, is Norway’s leading conference for the digitalization of the health sector. It is taking place in Oslo.

  • LifeChamps: A Collective Intelligent Platform to Support Cancer Champions Open Communication Event

    • On 8 November 2022, Dr Ioannis Ioakeimidis (KI) will present a higher-level overview of the REBECCA project in an open session organised by the EU-funded project LifeChamps: A Collective Intelligent Platform to Support Cancer Champions.

      The event will take place at Nobel Forum Karolinska Institutet (onsite).

  • 18th IEEE International Conference on Big Data Computing Service and Machine Learning Applications

    • REBECCA project will be featured at the 18th IEEE International Conference on Big Data Computing Service and Machine Learning Applications, to take place from 15 to 18 August 2022. Mr Aristotelis Ballas will present the paper titled A Domain Generalization Approach for Out-Of-Distribution 12-lead ECG Classification with Convolutional Neural Networks.

  • 12th Conference on Artificial Intelligence

    • REBECCA project will be featured at the 12th Conference on Artificial Intelligence, to take place from 7 to 9 September 2022. Mr Aristotelis Ballas will present the paper titled A Domain Generalization Approach for Out-Of-Distribution 12-lead ECG Classification with Convolutional Neural Networks. Ms Niki Kiriakidou will present the paper titled An evaluation framework for causal inference models.

  • 18th International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations

  • Applied Machine Learning Days 2022

    • On 28 March 2022, the REBECCA project was featured at the Applied Machine Learning Days 2022. Ms Georgia Pantalona, Research Associate from the Centre for Research and Technology Hellas, presented the project in a dedicated track Applied NLP Technologies for Physical & Mental Health in Practice.

  • 4th Meeting of Minds of the Cancer Survivorship – AI for Well-Being Cluster

    • On 23 and 24 February 2022, the REBECCA project participated in the 4th Meeting of Minds of the Cancer Survivorship – AI for Well-Being Cluster. The event titled ‘How can new technologies better support patients?’ aimed at gathering patient feedback on the digital, AI-based tools that the Cluster members are designing to improve the Quality of Life of cancer patients and survivors.

  • EHMA 2021 Annual Conference

    • On 16 September 2021, Dr Ioannis Sarafis, a postdoctoral researcher at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – the REBECCA project leader, represented REBECCA with an EHMA PIE presentation at the EHMA 2021 Annual Conference. The presentation titled Moving beyond RCTs: Tapping the potential of Real-World Data for advancing clinical research and improving post-treatment in breast cancer underlined the innovative idea of the REBECCA project, namely using Real-World Data (RWD) to support clinical research and improve existing clinical workflows by combining clinical data with data describing patients’ real-life behaviour including their physical activity, eating habits, sleep, and online interaction.
